Hi, welcome. Thank you for being here. I would love to go ahead and start the meeting 548 p.m. on today, which is February 4th. And let's go ahead and do our roll call. Okay, Carrie Albright. I'm here. Heidi Brown. Here. Nadia Kane. Here. Matt Caldy. Here. Adam Budicker. Here. Shannon Geich is absent. Adam Martinez. Here. Mitchell Owens is absent. Here we go. Amazing. So glad to have you all here. I don't see any members of the public. Okay, just checking, just checking. Well, great. Well, we brought you here today to review and vote on the ECPC memo that was written in response to the UDO amendments that we covered in our last month's meeting. The ECPC met, discussed some of the concerns that we had with the amendments specifically around the impervious surface changes. And so we wrote up this memo. You all have access to it digitally and on paper. But I wanted to see if there's any comment or questions about this memo as it stands. Otherwise, our next item would be considering a vote. Well, I came across a comprehensive plan when I was reading through it. I think the latest version is 2024 version. Is that the right one? I'm not sure. Okay. Pretty sure. It's the last one they put on the website. It just occurred to me to look and see what is the city's policy on infrastructure and green infrastructure and previous covers to help guide decision making, right? Not for just us, but for the city. And they have a section policy goal 3.2 on the built environment. It says, and we could It's too late to add it to the letter, but maybe if you're giving a reading and you're adding comments, you can mention it. It says, continue to limit the amount of impervious service in new developments. So it might be good just to remind them this is the city's comprehensive plan. They wanted to do this at one point. That's a great point. And also the added note that as the city has moved into prioritizing things like green spaces and becoming a bee city, knowing that many, I think it was 70% of native bees nest in the ground and require impervious surface to create their nests, and that reducing the amount of, or allowing for more impervious surfaces in new developments could potentially impact how we're able to retain some of that biodiversity with our pollinator population. Those are definitely things to keep in mind. Do you have that memorized? Yeah, I will not be giving that as a part of the letter, though. I think it is such an excellent point that I would encourage you to attend virtually by Zoom so that you can give public comment, because anyone who gets three minutes. And that would be a very nice thing to point out. That would be OK. Over the years of watching Council meetings, there have been a lot of times, whether it's for greenways or a lot of various things that people have pointed out. By the way, this is in a plan that you all voted for. Just so you know. I need to talk about green space. Increase green space and protect environmentally sensitive areas. I don't know where the proposed density, urban density, for 80% if it's near in any environmentally sensitive areas or not. We would need to look at that. We can't know because it would just be in any of the residential zones. So it is not specific at this time. But I think that it's... Go ahead. I was just going to ask if the public comments at a specific time during the meeting. It's just in order on the agenda. So it could be any time after... It could happen in five minutes, it could happen in five hours. I get out of class at 730, I get home, then I can get online and see where we are. I was going to say if I had to guess, I think that'll be fine because it is one of the later items on their agenda and the meeting starts at 630. So I think that would be a very worthwhile comment to make. Any other Thoughts, comments, or questions on the memo as it stands? I like that. You put the leaks of the source where you got the data. That was nice. I won't be reading the sources aloud. Come on, read the URL. Yeah, we will not be reading that aloud. I move that we approve the letter as written. Second. 90 seconds. Perfect. Ready for our votes? Indeed. Heidi Brown. voting we are approving this if you want to say yes yes no it would work yes well thanks so much everybody for being present for this consideration and vote we will continue to work through how we do all of these things moving forward, but I really, really appreciate everyone making time tonight for this. The next item is our upcoming meeting, which is on February 19th at 6 p.m. in the usual spot upstairs. And that is the end of our agenda for the night. Motion we adjourn. Second. All right. Thank you so much. It is 554. Thank you all for being here. Thank you, Matt, for reading this. Thanks, Heidi, if you're able to make it for the public comment piece of it.
