Director for the City of Bloomington. This is a special meeting of the Board of Public Works at 11.45 a.m. on Monday, July 14th, 2025. So this will be a very quick meeting is my guess. I will follow it up with a work session on another zoom link. But for this meeting on the agenda posted there is a link to a zoom meeting with an ID and a passcode. If you're a member of the public and you're on this meeting and would like to comment on any of the item that we'll be discussing you can do that through the chat or raised hand function on zoom. And otherwise I will turn it over to Elizabeth Carone, Vice President of the Board of Public Works to head up this meeting. And thank you, Elizabeth. Agenda of the Board of Public Works for today, July 14th, 2025. First up, messages from board members. Are there any messages from the board? Okay, next we have petitions and remonstrances. If anyone has any comments about anything that is not on today's agenda, feel free to approach The podium or raise hands on zoom We have no members of the public that are not part of the agenda item on zoom or in the room Okay, seeing as we have no consent agenda. We are going to move on to new business First a new business is resolution 2025-055 hoop bus One second Thanks, Miranda Cassie Wernie special projects and operations manager with public works. Thank you so much for holding the special meeting today As Adam said this is for hoop bus event, which is also a partnership with IU athletics. I a really cool event. They are asking to use the 500 block of Kirkwood, which is already closed. And on that block, they want to do a kind of promotional event where they have a bus that arrives with some basketball hoops. And really, their goal is to build community through basketball, very relevant for Bloomington. This is in anticipation of the WNBA All-Star Game that's happening in Indianapolis. And the IU women's basketball team will also be participating in the And I have Megan Cramper here with me with IU athletics who can also answer any questions that you have Just a general question a month or so ago we talked about ways to streamline Events that were taking place in the already closed section of Kirkwood. I assume that this one wouldn't apply was it's not actually being run by any of the businesses along Kirkwood is that I have to say Right now we basically the advice from legal is that we will pass something through the board in the future that will say if the events meet these criteria Then they won't need to be brought before the board But there will still be kind of requirements associated like getting a certificate of liability insurance as an example. I Also for me and not anything about this event in particular, but we've talked about having things a certain amount of time in advance of our meetings. And so obviously if this event is tomorrow night, we would have seen this two weeks ago or even prior. So is this a late scheduled event? Yeah, this was a request that came in from Megan about a week or so ago, week and a half. Yeah, so it was after the last board meeting and this was the only one that we could get it through in time. Sounds good. Yeah Any other questions from the board? Any members any questions from the public? All right seeing none. Do we have a motion? I Move approval of resolution 2025 055 bus my second with a motion in a second. I will call the roll Roach. I grown I Motion passes. No other items on new business. Are there any staff reports on other business? Okay, and no claims and I will adjourn our special meeting.
