Roy operations manager with housing and neighborhood development We are requesting a continuous abatement
for 1014 West Howe Street This property has been cited with a notice of violation since April 29th of
this year for brush and overgrowth It has not been touched since we have have
Issued these notices there have been five in total that had been issued I did have a neighborhood compliance
officer visit the visit the property yesterday. It is still out of compliance So we are requesting a
continuous abatement for both trash and overgrowth Which would be through April 29th of 2027 Thank you

mobile vendor Pollo Molino, resolution 2026-034, art on a traffic box for WFHB, service agreement with
Rock Solid Masonry for facilities and payroll. Does anything need to come off the consent agenda tonight?

I just want to make a comment that as was put out in the updated packet, there was a grammatical and
typo correction to the art on a traffic box for WFHB resolution. So they actually did not change the
contents, just changed the typos.

First item of new business is the right-of-way closure request for Weddle Brothers at West 3rd between
South Walnut and South College So what our brothers is requesting some temporary right-of-way closures
on South College and West 3rd Street Adjacent to the current Convention Center site 301 South College
The request is for to accommodate the work including
pavement concrete removal, sewer structure placement, construction of new curbs, medians, concrete bus
lanes, some electrical work for new light poles running that conduit, new signal detection loops and
new pavement markings.
This is gonna incorporate some work, and we mentioned in the work session yesterday, this is
gonna incorporate some work that's planned from the Public Works Department. I don't know the full scope
of that plan, but I know they're doing some work to the east of this block as well. So after meeting
with Weddle even today, we're gonna closely coordinate on how we can make that the most efficient as
possible. So possibly some nighttime work and things of that nature.
So the actual request here includes temporary sidewalk, parking lane, travel lane, alley, and full street
closures. So we're looking at two different segments here. Starting on South College, a travel lane,
parking lane, and sidewalk diversion are going to be requested. So this is going to look very similar
to the current setup. Right now, they have the east and west sidewalks diverted.
This is expected to be in place from August 25th through roughly October 31st of this year.
So like I said, largely similar to what we've seen thus far. This will actually probably carry out to
the end of the project as the team works from the east side of the building, north side, and then finishing
on the west side. So just wanted to make sure we clarified that.
Kind of different request. We have here is a closure of the alley. So the southern end of the North
South alley between college and walnut along with a sidewalk closure on the southern side of West 3rd
Street there in between college and walnut that sidewalk closure is planning on being implemented tomorrow
once approved and then that would run until
September 30th, and that was when I miss clarifying in the staff report here, so apologies on that.
So until September 30th with the sidewalk closure, the full street closure was originally requested
to occur from August 25th of this year to September 30th. Upon further review, staff decided that that
was a bit excessive, so our recommendation is going to be for a two-week closure, two-calendar week closure.
starting on the same date, August 25th until September 8th, I believe it is. And working with the Weddle
team, we expect some other closure requests to come about during that time frame. So likely looking
at some lane closures, continued sidewalk closure, that sort of thing, which we fully expect to bring
to the next Board of Public Works meeting once we get some clarity surrounding the work that ENB is
planning with the Public Works project and the scope they have with this project as well.

The alley closure are there any properties that that alley touches that might You know, they might only
get their only access from the alley and
Theoretically that's possible if somebody's utilizing that alley for parking as is Allowable in city
code the 30-minute time frame There was still will be access from the north so that north side would
not be closed so you could access this alley from 4th Street For okay, so this isn't the alley that's
Heading south from third
It's heading north from third to fourth. It's a north-south the way we frame it. Sorry the north-south
alley that intersects at third So there's what used to be I think German American Bank there and I think
it's on the north side on the north side Yes. Yes. Thank you. And then you got the one sells property
on the other side of it there Okay So Like that that one sells property
All of the parking for that property is access from the alley Correct. Yeah, and The Weddell team is
here to answer some of these I do know that there was a question raised by the one cells team on that
I don't know that's From our stance. It's between those private parties to negotiate something Okay
And then in general Construction on schedule ahead of schedule behind schedule from everything that I know

We did issue the letters to the same group that we've affected with the full college closure So everybody
between second and third Street
But on this one we included Bunger and Robertson's team and one sells for this closure duration He did
come back and mentioned some access from the north and potentially people park there. So it may make
his access Potentially restricted for that 30-minute time frame. It's allowable We told him that we
would work with him on everything that we could there But as far as the schedule durations When we came
to Board of Public Works last year for all of these closures, it's the exact same start date exact same
end date and

works director. Just a couple real brief updates.
First special events and right-of-way use permits that were out for the last several weeks. We had a
very successful taste of Bloomington once again Weather wasn't great to start but the vendors and organizers
pushed through and ended up with some great weather that evening So kudos to the whole team that put
that on Jordan Davis and Cassie and their whole committee and but yeah great event. No major issues
had one ambulance call for an allergy issue, but otherwise no
Nothing of any significance. So just credit to the community for coming downtown having a great time
supporting all of our local independent restaurants and Big shout out to all those organizers again
the movie filming for the little 500 movie
Went pretty darn good for the most part few things here and there that we were working with them on
a daily basis Just making sure with as much space as they were using throughout the downtown on given
times and periods to Tighten it up when we could remove no parking signs earlier than when they weren't
using them things like that. So Yeah, lots of good coordination with their organizers and appreciate
all of that Last update I have for you is kind of a joyous one for us in public works. We sent out a
press release I think last week announcing that the
Public Works Department had received 100% full compliance on our accreditation through the American
Public Works Association multi-year process tons and tons of hours and effort from the staff Big shout
out to Christina Smith our accreditation manager. She really helped guide us through all that and after
the site visits and official tallies came back we were in 100% compliance with the chapters that applied
to us in public works and I think that's a credit to the teams that do all the work in the public works
Works Department on behalf of the community. So big thanks to all of them and something we're very proud
of and I will have every three years now have a reaccreditation process that we would go through. So
just wanted to make note of that and nothing else to report tonight. Congratulations to the team. That's
