So, you all are doing really well with your appointments. And so, of course, team committee seat, we have because on which I like to say because on sustainability and resilience. And so, there is one seat that is needed to be for a decision needs to be made and that's Matt Austin. And so he has applied for reappointment. It was expressed that he should not be reappointed. And you all had earlier conversations, but I think that's it. There's no more, I believe the mayor still has some appointments, but nonetheless, this is the only council seat that you have to worry about. Well, I think Isabel and I have both held pretty firm that we don't accept bullying as our representatives. Yeah, I just think the way this person has handled stuff with staff is unacceptable. I saw Sean like the day after one of their meetings. She just... It's not how I would ever want one of our staff Yeah. Especially when like that kind of thing is avoidable. It's not how we need to speak to each other. So we have two applicants, Sarah Brinkman and Rebecca Paine. And both look good. Rebecca is a Purdue do extension, staff member, health and human sciences educator. That's really cool. Sarah Brickman, I don't know what her profession is. So, I don't know. It says occupation program assistant. Okay, so in terms of skills and expertise brought to because there's probably a clear Candidate, would you be interested in interviewing them both or do you just want to make it. I would be interested in interviewing them. Sure. Would you like to make a motion that I will happily say. I move that we interview Sarah for a seat on the commission of sustainability and resilience. Resiliency and sustainability, the resilience and sustainability, because then it could have been worse. You find it again. Zuley? Yes. And P. wants me? Yes. Okay. All right. And then the next one that you have, this one needs some movement because the 90 days is up at the end of this month. So in terms of HPC Historic Preservation Commission. Council has two seats that are currently vacant. However, one probably needs to be vacant. So I'll start there first. Drew here is CC4. He was appointed back in September and he's attended some of the meetings and then he hasn't attended the last three. Noah, is the staff liaison one and he reached out to me to let me know. He's tried to email him and he's copying me on this email to Drew. And then I also copy or email Drew and copy Noah and then I try to follow up and email. I'd like to do both in case there's something weird that happens. And to this day, which it's been a couple of weeks now, I've heard nothing. So, That is probably also another vacancy that you're looking to see here soon. And then Dr. Campbell is a caregiver. Yes. Yes. So we have not reappointed him. Unfortunately, we have only one active application. Yes. Actually, Raynard Gross was not reappointed either. And I have not gotten a chance to check it with him individually like I have with Sam. who said that he was not interested in a non-promoting seat. But I left Bernard a voicemail this morning asking if that's something that he would be interested in and thanking him for his service. It seems like many of the appointments that expired this year that were mayoral were overturned, or they were not kept on. So they all I think Sam and Reynard were the two voting seats that were not reappointed. So I did reach out this morning. So we may have an answer later. And you wouldn't have to have them reapply because technically they both reapply considering that they were in hopes to be reappointed as an appointment by the mayor. sucking through the old application. And Carrie Champion, who's the director of Wiley House, would really be good. But her, it says her application was created on October 2nd and archived on October 21st. Is she maybe a mayoral appointment? It's not. Is she on a different order commission? So do we know what happened? I think what happened was, I think the mayor's office might have lifted this one and decided to move fast. And so therefore, there was nothing else that needed to happen with that. But even though it's archived, you can still un-archive it Because it hasn't been a year. Okay. Would you be interested in that? Yeah. I mean, if she's still interested, that's fine. Absolutely. Do you think so? Could we move to appoint her on the condition that she's still interested? Yeah. Is that something like, okay, is that something that you'd want to do, Isabelle? Um, I don't, it seems like, should we do some more due diligence? I don't know. Um, I also really liked Cassie Shelton's application. I read through it. It did seem like she fit the qualifications or what this board requires. Yeah, she doesn't have an address. I just don't know if she's in the city or not. And I can reach out. and ask if they, what was their agamas? Listen, she works at Crane, so I'm wondering, they should look forward to it, but maybe not. It's a long meditation. It is long. Well, she repeats a lot in the first part, in the seventh part. I actually wasn't convinced that she meets the qualifications. Oh, okay. What are the, let me look at that. Must be residents of the city. All members shall be appointed, shall be interested in preservation. No, there's more specific, there's more specific rules than that. I don't know if that makes sense. The extent available to the community, the mission shall include professional members from the disciplines of architecture, history, architectural history, preservation planning, archaeology, or other historic preservation related disciplines, such as urban planning, American studies, art history, American civilization, cultural geography, and cultural anthropology. I mean, to the extent available to the community, that's pretty big. Yeah. I mean, to the extent of the application to seek it. I did try to look her up this morning and I couldn't find anything. Cassie. There's noises like this in City Hall all day. Every day because they're doing the painting. Why do they need such a big machine? Let's see, they might be like almost still. Yeah. Sorry, I'm very easily distracted. I know, I know. I'm throwing your heart not to. It really is. And I picked this because this is usually the side that's like less rosy. Thank you. So yeah, I would be in favor of Carrie Jenkins. and Cassie Shutton, if she lives in Bloomington. We need one more person, right? At least one more person. We could also preemptively appoint Bernard Ross and then just on the condition that he's still interested, same with Carrie. And if he says no, we don't have to bring it forward. That's just something. Yeah. I mean, they're also just advisory members. Do they count for the forum? They do. I think. Other people have said they don't. And I feel this is like a conversation that we've been like all night and forth in because if that's the case, I think like Drew had been one of the reasons why. Like, yeah. Okay. Why they couldn't make it. But I'll reach out to Anna and ask her, do non advisory seats to the HPC count in the school? Anna Holmes. Thank you. I guess I would go ahead and make a motion to appoint carry champion. To see see one. Which was Mr. Campbell's seat. Second. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's the chair, he's the higher chair after Sam and I did let him know. So they're going to be supervised, which I thought just because I'm not a huge fan of the way that Sam was dismissed. And I thought that we could be a little bit more respectful. and just giving people a heads up. So, can you, would you reach out to Duncan? I will. Thank you. Yes. Appreciate that. Yes, absolutely. And then I guess with, with Kancey Shutton, can we just find out where she lives? Yeah, I can do that. Do you want to make a motion on the condition of her residence in the city? Also, I just kind of hate to point somebody, at least with Carrie, we knew, yeah, no community member, that she, you know, I just couldn't see her IE website, anything. Yeah. With Kansy, just pointing somebody blind I feel like I want to talk to her first instead of phone number. Nope. Yeah, that's hard to verify. Yeah. And as I've been saying a little earlier, it's a little frustrating because these applications were starting to run into the issues of people are not, these aren't required fields and I don't understand it either. And it is becoming the vein of my existence. And so in the next couple of weeks, We'll be meeting with IT and we will, like, I will bring this up again and ask that this be rectified ASAP. Thank you. Tell an interview committee senior to specifically request it. Well, you know, it's like, I can't, because it's easy for me to just, like, I can respond to somebody via email, but it's also very quick to just pick up a phone and go, hey, This is so-and-so, we want to ask, you applied, what's your address that we can mirror? Just as getting that quick and done. The other thing is like- Oh, I did find it. I think so. Oh, cool. Sorry. If you can't find someone online, someone's phone number is the next thing to find any type of information about them. So when they don't put address and they don't put phone number, it's very difficult to verify anything. Right. I did find Cassie Shelton It's the Bloomington one. I saw one from Miami. It says Salisbury, Indiana. But this is her, because in her application, she said she worked with Allison Transmission. She isn't going to be there. Salisbury is not going to be there. That does not bode well. Let's not do a conditional payment. Let me just check. Yeah, maybe she's moving. We need more applications. And we actually, the press release went out earlier this week. I saw that. And so, yeah. Hope for the best. I think when I've been trying to identify other places that might work for recruitment, it does kind of feel like the commission already has an interesting like circumference of people. We're talking to Jeremy about it. I think he is high up at McCall. By collections, which is not collecting these collections. It's very like collection of archives. Oh, okay. Which is not an enforcement. No, not an enforcement. They just have a lot of cool stuff. Do we have any other commissions? Let me read that and look at your spreadsheet. Let's go back in here. Those literally were the only two seats or two commissions that you had. Let me just go back again. Let me see a stone. Yeah, that's it. HPC and because are the only two that you need to tackle. Okay, so and then are you wanting to Cassie? She's in the city. Okay. Okay. Do we do a conditional vote interviewing her? That's what I think. Okay, you do it. not necessary. Well, it's not necessary. And it seems like she doesn't. Yeah, so she doesn't like this, not. So just to kind of recap, you didn't move to interview Sarah and Rebecca from VCusser. And you appointed Carrie a champion to CC1 for the HTC. And then that's it. Is that easy? Carrie will be Good addition for HPC. And I will let you know what is said about HPC's forum with non advisory or non public seats, the advisory seats. And that's it. Great. I did is I have met with the three commissions that I'm the liaison form with the chairs. So that was, that was, which is Jane, it was really good. What meetings are they? Well, it's good to understand them better. So that was the RDC, the Commission on the Staff of Children and Youth and the Commission on Hispanic and Latine affairs. And that last one, they are very concerned about Indiana Senate Bill 76 that was just passed that requires local government and schools and hospitals even to cooperate with ICE. And so they will be giving their annual report on March 25th. So it would be great if the council can show support of their mission residents that they represent. What could we do? Like, is there something that we could wear, come together, in the control of solidarity? I don't know how to make people feel safe in that room, I guess. I don't know, I was gonna reach out to Margie Rice and see how she interprets that state law and people we do and not do. I think, but just moral support is the best we can do right now. This is not necessarily about anyone in the legal department, but from what I have observed, our legal department's approach to state policy is immediate compliance and not necessarily on the defense of, well, where's the line and how far can we get up to it without like putting our residents in more danger, it might be worse consulting with a different lawyer or a different legal team. Well, I assume that the counsel will hire a temporary attorney contracted, then it's that person. Okay. Thank you for raising that. I appreciate that. And the position for the assistant director of public arts closes today. I think there's been 26 applicants. There's been 92 for the Kirkwood special projects manager. So I don't know. The best application pool hopefully should have some type of answer. The only reason I'm informing You have this is because I've been the liaison to the commission. Oh, they have it and they say they're liaison. Yes, and I will try to smooth the transition. Whoever the new ideas. The mission on the status of children and youth are also missing. Right? Is that Andrew? It was. Okay. And the same with, I know this isn't ours, but the commission on the status of black males was also about Mr. Shannon's. So, you know, lots of transitions. Little extra TLC for those words. And I let Shatoya know, I know that it's not her deal, but I let her know that if she did anything for CSB, I just want to make sure, I want to make sure nothing gets lost. Jennifer, do you know who is the council liaison for the cap commission? The council member Davey. I'm very proud of myself for knowing that off the bat. I was like... Anything else really good, any murder? Anything silly? Okay, this video is a turntip. Anything but a bad thing.
