I'd like to call the Mayor Commission Special Session for October 27th, 2026 to order. We'll start with the approval of the minutes. Can I get a motion to approve the minutes from the August 25th, 2026 meeting? I have a motion. Can I get a second? Second. Any discussion? Hearing none, all in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? That motion's successful. I hereby certify that the Merit Commission for the City of Bloomington Fire Department held an executive session on October 27th, 2026 for the purpose of receiving information on an existing department member and that no final action was taken during the executive session. There is no old business, new business. Do we? Yes, we brought you a captain's list at the last session and afterwards we realized that We made a mistake when we did the evaluations. We left out the yearly evaluations off of the scoring thing. And so in labor management, we discussed it with the union, and it was agreed unanimously to just ask you to do away with that list, and we would start over a whole new process. So that's what we're asking. OK. Can I get a motion to grant a request and repeal the captain's promotion list? So long. Second. Second. All right. Any discussion? Any questions? All in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? That motion was successful. Do we have to bring the job one back in? No. No, that's not for the executive session. Is that what you're talking about? Okay, no for this one is just fire merit commission members. Mr. Chapparro since your term and ends in February or early next year, we just want. Are you interested in continuing on in your role? Okay, no pressure side though. But are you interested? It's just since it's up. And I understand from other board members, it is a courtesy to ask the member if they wish to continue their service. And if so, yes. If not, then I just wanted to let the union know ahead of time, because it is difficult to find the opposing political parties. And so I'm just putting it on the radar. It's hard letting the union know. And I know Claire isn't yours. in August and yours is a mayoral appointment so plenty of time but there are things that with the Julian he was kind of the liaison for all those and since they they've already said there could be a delay with any appointments and this is another reason to bring this up now if he facilitates those and that position is not filled they said that January February March are very busy with mayors trying to reappoint so or find new ones. So that August gives us a cushion. Yours is just a little bit different. Yours is up in that first quarter. So you need time to think or you interested and we pass your information on to the union. It's... Yeah. No pressure. Just to clarify on this sheet, it shows Claire's ends at the end of January like Jeff's. But over here, it says August. It is August, right? It is. Two years from when she was appointed. Yes. OK. OK, we'll make that correction. Stay. Let the party continue. Yeah, I'll do another year. Oh, OK. I think it's another two years. Then we'll let the union know now that they have to do another election or anything then. We'll say that you are interested in doing so, and then we'll go from there. Because the mayor doesn't have necessarily say on yours, but the union does, but we want to have this taken care of before the deadline and not after, because we like being able to have a quorum when we need one. So let me have that. OK. All right. Is that it for that part? It is. Any staff reports? Other than we have our grand opening for them, the operations center is November 6th, that Friday. If you haven't, then we can reset. But that would be, yeah, like Grand Tour, Grand Opening, and they have people down there, and it's functional now. It's beautiful. It is, isn't it? It goes right with Station 3. It's a big thing. And that's the last of the bond projects, correct? Yes. We used up all of them. And since there's nobody here from the public there's no petitions or community. Can I get emotionally adjourned.
