Okay, I have a question. Sure. Okay, I don't have it in front of me, but on there, there was a lawyer for like $8,000. What is that for? It's for legal fees for the clerk. for anticipation for various items that are coming up. So we're not using our town lawyer? Not for that, no. Okay. I just wondered because we was user for everything. So I seen that and didn't know if it was for something else we were using for, for $8,000. Well, that's a high-priced lawyer, isn't it? It was for various things related to some items that had come up that I needed to seek legal counsel that was not through the town. Okay. Okay. I just wondering, I mean, are you gonna keep him all the time? No. Or him, whatever? No, absolutely not. Okay. Right, that's it, Scott. Okay. Is there a motion to pay accounts of payable vouchers? So moved. Second. Motion second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? Any abstaining? There are no resolutions, there are no ordinances on first reading, there are no ordinances on second reading. The only matter of old business before the council tonight is a hiring by Oldsville Police Department. Good evening. Tonight, I'd like to present to you a candidate for full-time employment for the Elstville Police Department. For the position of police officer, I'd like to introduce Nicholas Blackard. Nick, you want to come up? Nick is a 2019 graduate of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy's Tier 1 basic course. He has a full-time law enforcement experience at both Morgan County Sheriff's Office and the Greenwood Police Department. Nick is currently employed with Seals Ambulance Service. In addition to having his EMT certification, Nick also has his Firefighter 1 and 2 certifications, his HADMAPS operations certificates, and has completed the first portion of accident reconstruction certification. Nick was sworn in as part-time officer on for the department on May 20th. If hired full-time, Nick will begin the field training process and will be paired with senior officers for the department to gain knowledge and his needs to the solo patrol officer. Nick has already assisted in major investigation and excelled with work he performed. Nick has already shown initiative and a desire to learn. I believe he will make an excellent full-time police officer for the department. Mr. President. Questions from council? No. Motions from council? Of the Ellitsville Police Department of Ellitsville, Indiana. Of the Ellitsville Police Department of Ellitsville, Indiana. According to the law and to the best of my skill. According to the law and to the best of my skill. And ability so help me God. And ability so help me God. Congratulations, sir. Congratulations. Thank you. Running with a theme this evening, there is no new business. Now, privilege of the floor, anyone having business for the council that has not been part of our normal agenda. So it kind of leaves you wide open this evening. Seeing no one online, no one in chambers. We'll now move to supervisor comments with the town manager. Sure, I'd like to mention hats off to the laying of things, sectional champs. Another good year for Mick Hammond. They're always on top of things, and I think they were 27 and four. 27.5, something like that. So I thought I'd mention them. It's officially summer in Elixir again. The food stands up. So that's always my watermark for, yeah, it's summer, let's have some fun. I'd like to mention Wednesday night, we are having another realization meeting, and it's basically a hearing. And for the general public, this is their time to come out ask questions, be heard, state what they think is going on, ask where they can get more information, probably second to the formation of Ellitsville. In the beginning, this could be the most important time of our lives, and it has to do with the future of Ellitsville. I think everybody should come to that. Hopefully we'll have too many people here and I'll be arguing with the fire department about how many people we can get in this place. But if ever there was a time to come out and be part of something, this is it. Not a good time to get on Facebook and surmise what might be happening or complain about what is or isn't happening. The town currently is functioning and it's very healthy, and we've had several things we've had to do throughout the years to make our town better. This is change that was not of our own making, but we're gonna make a problem into an opportunity, and we think we have a really good idea, and there's a lot of good people in the community that's helped us figure this out. And so I just think you need to come out, and you can tell your friends to come out. This is time for action by the public. Ultimately, this is a process where we get us to a point where everybody gets to vote on it. And so in America, that's how we do things. So I think it's important for me. I have nothing. Council comments. I'll just chime in on the joint town council township board meeting. To make it clear to the public, this meeting is not approving reorganization. It's saying we want the public and the voters to be the decision makers. Too often government decides these plans like this large thing that we're talking about, we think the people up here can make those decisions. but I think the best decision makers are the ones that put us up here, the voters, and that's exactly what this does. So I hope we get the support to let the people decide what the forward direction of Ellitsville wants to be. Anyone else? Seeing none, seeing no further items? The time is 6.30. Wednesday. Wednesday. We done now? I think we're done. So you know further items we stand adjourned.
