Any microphones on? Okay. Let's direct the show to all members of the present with exception of Ronnie Van Biedenberger. Approval of minutes. Did you have a chance to look at her? Yes. Identify a motion to approve. Second. Serena. Who made the motion? Me. This girl here. No, just the basic electric different things. We made the transfer. And I don't think there was anything highlighted on that sheet. Basically, the ones highlighted are the ones that were the ones since the last meeting. I think there was a lot of stone charges from the Heritage Center when they put in the... You know, that kind of thing. Yes, and that reminds me, the windows getting cleaned at the History Center. Are they really still doing that? It's a quarterly charge, it's $40. Do we really need that done? Do they? Okay, I just didn't know if anybody ever verified that they actually got done. Okay, just wanted to check if something got made. Okay. Okay. I would move, I would ask for a motion to review the counts payable. I will make a motion. Second. I'll second. Serena? Jimmy Durnall? Yes. Laura Hale? Yes. Katie Michael? Yes. Emma Kelly? Yes. Motion passes. Can you open this, Serena? No old business. The only thing that is, I guess, considered old is the meeting dates, which I had had, I think I sent out to everyone, maybe. I really can't remember. Now, we have them listed as every month, and I think Noel did that. Are we going to continue a month or every other month? I'm thinking yes. What do you all think? Monthly? It doesn't matter to me. Our meeting, they did approve the raise for the members, but you do have to be present, which I will keep track of, which I do anyway. And to be paid for the meeting, you have to be present. So these are the dates for next year, if we go to the monthly. For this year or next year? Well, you said next year. So. That's all for all the first Monday except for September meeting, right? It should be standard. The first Monday of every month, unless there's a holiday, then it will go. And those can be changed. They you know how things go. If something comes up, we don't have a quorum, you know, whatever. They're subject to change, I guess. I think, you know, like, if we can't meet on this Monday night, we'll try it on next Monday, maybe. I think we would have about too much problem. Okay. I didn't realize how expensive the... I'd make a motion to approve the meeting dates. Well, a lot of that was putting in the landline. Oh, okay, that makes sense. I'm sorry, I asked for a motion to approve the meeting dates. I'll motion. I'll second. Serena? Yes. There's two dates in June. What? June the 8th and June 22nd. No, that's council. Ours are on the agenda. Okay. Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah. Never mind. I thought we were special. Okay. Jimmy Durnall? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Right there, should be green. Can you hear me now? Like I said, I can't really call it the Frisbee for all that because you've got to get their permission because of copyright thing, but I could call it the spring fling. And what I would do is I have food trucks, some music because Denise, she has these speakers now. Have you ever seen them? They're on stands and you can like, you know, talk to them and play music. pretty sophisticated. I don't know where she put them at. She had Mike and I, Mike Byrne's training session one day, how to use them. Of course, I'd have to have a revisit because it's too many moons ago, but it is a nice system. So you could have music. Then I'd have different booths set up, things that you fling or throw, like have one where you throw footballs through holes, you have frisbees through things, you can buy this stuff all enough, forget what it's called, it's a book, you buy like sporting stuff like frisbees and ring toss and all that stuff, and have like maybe five, I don't think I sent it to you, but I made an outline here of different kind of booths and maybe have like five or six things like that where people would purchase so many tickets, it'd make it like really cheap so that people because I have plenty of money in the account that I could cover some of this cost. But you'd buy so many tickets, and then you would go around to the different booths and just give them a ticket to play that event. And you could do it over and over again. So if you bought 10 tickets, you could play the same thing 10 times, or you could play something, you know, two or three times. And then have whiteboards set up at each booth that would track the best like time or the best number of things. throughout that afternoon for that maybe three-hour session, because you don't want to have it drag on forever, but maybe do it for three hours. And then at the end of that, I could give like a little gift card to the one with the best thing or whatever. That would maybe give incentive for people to kind of hang around. And I'd have to get, I know Denise has got a listing of food vendors that she uses. So, I mean, I could probably promote that pretty well and do something like that. When the weather breaks, it'd be like probably nice enough in May, but I had to try to pick a date that, you know, baseball season starting, there's a lot of kids, there's a lot of travel teams in Ellisville and Bloomington that play tournaments every weekend. But that's only a small percentage of the kids, you know. So I think we can still have a good turnout. I also have about 20 or 30 other ideas for other stuff. I'm just trying to think of something that would be adults and kids might have fun doing and promoting something like that. If you think something like that would go okay, You know, the idea would be you have it up here or do it over at Marcy Jane Lewis Park. Because you'd have to have parking and you'd have to have enough area where you could set the booths up. Now, certainly over there is probably I could do it over there. Probably like a Sunday afternoon or a Saturday. It'd be kind of hard to do it up in the evening time. I mean, you could, but it'd work better doing it like one to four or something in the afternoon or something like that. I mean, do you think something like that would draw enough interest? I'm just trying to think of something. I'd like to try to promote two big things, one in the spring and one in the fall. I've got the 5K race. That's already established, and that's running pretty good. Like I said, 155 people last year. That's pretty good. And I just renewed that for this, because you have to tell them whether or not you're going to do it. So I just renewed and said, we'll do that again. But I've kind of got that down pat now. That's not a problem. We'll try to take care of the bank next time, too. What's that? We'll take care of the bank. Yeah, sorry about that. I told people where to park. four or five places, and I just didn't think to tell people, do not park in Bang Park. But it was, to me, I thought it was kind of like silly, because we didn't really impede anybody from going to work, and customers could have gotten in. I don't know what the deal was, but... Yeah, but anyway, so I'm sorry about that. So maybe next time when I put the description in the sign-up, I'll put big bold letters, do not park in people's State Bank. And maybe I can make up a sign, too. the set over there, and it enters where you come into Feral Gas and say, don't park over there. Yeah, I felt bad about it. I didn't mean it, because I knew he was upset that day. But anyway, I mean, if you think that I'll start work on making up the booths and doing that kind of stuff and trying to promote it and get it, because I know I have Avenue's way to promote stuff with Mike Glass on 98.7 and their community calendar and then and stuff like that. I mean, if you think that'll work, I can start doing it. So if that's the case, then you'll start seeing hours from me putting that stuff together and trying to build a boost and getting all that ready, if you think so. I mean, what I have found, stuff like that, is all in the promotion and how you set it up and the organization, if things go smoothly and people, the object is, for people to have fun. And it'd be an Ellisville family day kind of a thing, and people come out. But the problem is, you've got so much stuff going on, because now there's basketball going over here at the EYS, and then you've got baseball, and then you've got, now they've got, they do the football, I think, now they're doing that. And then you have volleyball girls playing, so there's just so much competing for kids' times now. It's not like when I grew up, you know, you went in the woods and played all day and you didn't do travel ball and that kind of stuff, you know. Or if you don't think that'll work, I can think of something else. I mean, I got plenty of ideas I can try to promote. It's just how to make things work, you know, feasible, makes it feasible or not. I think it's a good idea. Just something different to do. I think people will like it. Yeah. Do you think you can do it up here? There's a lot, much better parking up here than down there. And I do have, there is space, I mean, between the parking lot, how it goes around, I mean, I'm sure I could work that out. Plus you got the bandstand area too, the cover, one side bandstand, but you know, the cover area that you could, if you had to speaker set it for music, if it got a little drizzly or whatever, I mean, that would be the only thing too is like, What do you do if it rains? Because I know with MAG-7 for the race, I have to have, to be able to be in a MAG-7, I have to have a rain day plan. In other words, I have to be able to sell it. If it rains downpour or thunder this day, we're going to do it, here's what's going to happen. But on something like this, it'd probably be either it works or it doesn't, you know, just hope that it doesn't rain. I think I'd like to see it up here. Now you'd probably have to order a couple of bathrooms or a couple of... Yes, that's what I was going to ask you. Are those restrooms going to be finished? I don't know. I would hope so, but I don't know. DNR? That's not a problem because the lady at... What is it? Where I got the polar potties. Itsy Rentals. She's very nice because usually it's about 250 bucks for... She only charges me what she charges the city. And I think it's like $95 a porta potter. I mean, it's something like that. I mean, she's really very good about what she charges me for that. And they come and set them up the day before and come and get me. I mean, I could do that. Do you have some money to start this? Oh yeah, I've got, what is it? I got over a little over $2,000 in that check account, the money I made from the race that we took it from the race, you know. Sounds good. So yeah, so I'll start buying some materials and I'll do like I did the race. I'll just pay for stuff, and when it's done, I'll give you an item. I sing with the receipts, and you can just reimburse me out of that. And I'm sorry that I haven't really done more. Shame on me, but it's like I've had so much stuff going on. It's like when you retire, you think that you've got all this time, and you find out you've got less time when you're working. I don't know, I'm wondering it myself. I've tried it twice and it didn't work out very good. I bought this lake house. I've been remodeling it myself and it's like, man, I'm just like, it takes your time. So, all right. What do you think we need to utilize social media to advertise an event like that? Yeah, well, actually, wait a minute. You've been using the, Denise has it on the Ellisville Facebook and then I use Hi Neighbor. But like I say, I tried to, I got kind of burned on that a little bit comments about a couple of things when I was doing the track at the field and that. So. Okay. Any other moved in this Serena? We have election of officers. Did we already approve the meeting dates? Yes. Okay. And the election of officers, um, and we have the, the only right now, the only term ending is Katie's and hers is January 10th. So we will need to, vote her back in. She has mentioned she would like to serve again. So Ronnie also said that he would like to serve again also. So we can. So could you get this on the agenda for the town board? Yeah. And so our election of officers is the president, the vice president, and the secretary. And I'm going to tell you, and you're not going to like it, but I do not want to be the secretary anymore. I'm really sorry, but I just do not have time anymore. With working the three jobs and not having time to do it here, It causes some undue stress that I don't really need. I think I have a candidate I'll have to ask her. Okay. We'll see. Okay, down to the election of officers. We'll get the candidate down the road, so to speak, for secretary. You can do it separately to individual officers, or you can make a motion to leave the officers the same. or how would you like to do that? If everybody wants to just stay, I'm fine with that. Is there a motion to that? I don't think I do. No motion. Okay. Emily. Okay. Okay. Jimmy Durnall. Yes. Laura Hale. Yes. Katie Michael. Yes. And Emily Kelly. Yes. Okay. Now let's back up here a second. So who made the motion? Me. Emily and Katie seconded, right? Laura seconded. Second. Let's vote and recommend that Katie Michael and Rodney VanDever be presented to the board on January the 12th for another four-year term. Is there a motion? I'll make a motion. Thank you. Laura? I'll second. Emily? Thank you. Jimmy Durnall? Yes. Laura Hale? Yes. Katie Michael? Yes. And Emily Kelly? Yes. Okay. Olivia has a lot to say. Tell him. What do you want to say? I didn't. All right. How do you vote, Olivia? 18 months. All right. Nothing else. Is there a motion for adjournment? I'll make a motion. I'll second. for the last time.
