Good morning. I'm going to call to order this meeting at Monroe County Board of Commissioners. It is Thursday August 7th. I will note for the record that Commissioner Madura is present in the NatU Hill Room and I am joining via Teams. We'll begin with our commissioner's statement. We, the Monroe County Board of Commissioners, renew our commitment to welcome and protect the rights of all people, regardless of age, race, color, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, marital status, economic status, and national origin. And we affirm the right of every person to live peacefully and without fear, and we will fight and resist at every step discrimination and harmful policies whatever their source. We believe in diversity equity inclusion and belonging. We also stand in support of our county public school systems both RBB and MCC-SC. TSD it'd be better to have a view of the courthouse than the monitor. Thank you. All right. We have one item on our agenda today. Commissioner Madeira, if you would make a motion please. Yes, I would like to move to approve the claims for August. I am sorry, my email just froze. I can go ahead and jump in and make the motion to approve the claims accounts payable August 7 2025 and payroll August 8 2025. Thank you very much, because my email is still frozen. I second that motion. All right, we have a motion we have a second. I can't see who's at the NatU Hill Room, but we have someone from the auditor's office joining us. Please tell us all about it. And then we'll turn to Mr. Cockrell. Good morning commissioners. The accounts payable claims docket for August 7th, 2025 totals $3,074,268.18. This includes all emergency claims and adjustments. The payroll docket for August 8th 2025 includes $1,612,193.39 in direct costs and the remaining $685,580.17 were for indirect costs for a grand total of $2,297,773.56. Great. Thank you so much. Mr. Copper will you please offer your commentary on our meeting agenda for today and claims? Yes, last week we realized that we were not going to have an in-person quorum for this meeting today and that we had claims that needed to be processed. So I reached out to the State Board of Accounts and the Public Access Counselor to see how we could resolve this issue and get our vendors paid. They, talking to State Board of Accounts and the Public Access Counselor, kind of confirmed that this was a appropriate course. They recommended we had a meeting with one hybrid member and one in-person member to approve the claims and then that way the claims could get out today and this week and then next week when we have an in-person quorum we would then go ahead and ratify the actions today. They fully recommended that we only deal with claims and emergency items at this meeting so that's why we're only having claims on the agenda. Great. Thank you so much. So any questions on the claims Commissioner Madeira. I have none. Thank you. Thank you. I don't either. And let's see if there's any public comment on this item. You can raise your hand on Teams or go to the podium and Nat U Hill if there's anyone there. Seeing none, Mr. Cockrell, will you please call the roll on the approval of the claims? Commissioner Thomas? Yes. Commissioner Madeira? Yes. Motion is approved, two to zero. Great, thank you so much. Thank you everyone for making this all happen because we had to. I will note that our next meeting is Thursday, August 14th at the Net-U-Hill Room at 10 a.m. Anything else Commissioner Madeira. I don't have anything. Thank you very much. Great. All right. Thank you everyone. And with that we are adjourned.
