I'm going to call to order this work session, Monroe County Board of Commissioners. It is Thursday, January 29th. We have two items on our agenda. The first one is in addendum to the amended agreement for facility services only in county government. ASI facility services Monroe County. Tell us about it. Yes, I'm requesting that you approve this addendum, which is eliminating a second and third shift guard at the Justice building Monday through Friday. It's eliminating a first and second shift guard at the Justice building on the weekends. And it actually adds the cleaning of the reserve building, because that building was recently taken into your possession. What this does, and this has also been discussed with the presiding judge who is in agreement with this, it gives us a savings of $134,680 from our original contracted budget. And what we would like to do, just to kind of give you some more information that's not actually part of the contract, but with that savings, we're looking at replacing all of the magnetometers. I think there's like four of them. And then what we would do is we would take the old magnetometers and place those outside some of the courtrooms that are having trials or maybe some more potentially contentious hearings. We're not going to lose the use of those. We'll be using those in another way. And so overall, it's a savings of $134,680. And I just ask that you approve this. Thank you. Comments or questions? Now, it makes sense. And appreciate you bringing this forward. How long does this agreement last? I think that it's until we cancel. Right. Yeah, I think that Molly and I were talking about it might be good to just go ahead and when we have some more time to actually just kind of redo the whole agreement. Just to, I didn't point it out, but in this agreement, we did clarify some of the obligations of ASI and as far as cleaning is concerned. We also amended, they have, they had a, Part of the original agreement was if the county received a COLA, then that was also provided to this entity. But the change now is that if the county gets a COLA, they will get that COLA, but it will not exceed 3%. So on occasion, the county has in fact received more than a 3% COLA. If that ever happens in the future, they will still only get 3%. And I discussed this with Mr. Gardner, who's in agreement. So the title of the pages should be Scope of Work, Exhibit A, Scope of Work. It just says Scope of. Oh, yeah. Exhibit A, Scope of. Yeah, got it. All right. I just wanted to make sure it was all right. I think if we can get a new one done for 27, maybe if we could get it done in 26. Yeah. I think that might be useful. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Great. Any public comment on this item? Since this is an addendum, we do not need to ratify it next week, especially since it's saving us money. All those in, I don't see any public comment. All those in favor of approving the addendum to the amended agreement for facility services with ASI signify by saying aye. Aye. Motion carries 2-0. And our next item relates to the commercial cleaning service agreement. Correct. This is another amendment for our cleaning services. And this is Tony Newton, who does business as commercial cleaning. And what we're doing is we are adding the public health clinic at a rate of $600 biweekly. And at this point, so that's an increase to this particular contract, I know that Molly and I are going to work with Ms. Kelly to see if they may have some funding that would provide for this service. If not, we will make sure it's taken care of. And it doesn't go into play until the public health actually opens. All right. So we actually have to do a little bit more work on this one. it still includes our employee health clinic and includes futures. I think she's just referencing the prior space. The prior space. Yes, because the future space will only be will be clean just like the regular building. the prior event with prior agreement called for quarterly medical cleaning of the futures clinic. And so we're taking that off of that area at this point. And if we're just going to do the regular cleaning and now we're adding public health. I'm not following this. I'm sorry. So, um, Seems, if I understand correctly, that they're lowering the level of cleaning. It's not a clinical clean. And then adding the public health. is it in section one still. I understand Mister copper we have section one which was out 3706 for the health building and then we have section 2 which is $100 less. I think my work on this let me give you a second to look at it. the pressure. I'll just have our eyes on you. The intention is to remove the base and add to the public health. When I read this, it says for section one, it says the county We entered an agreement on September 4th, 2024. And then section one quotes what's in that agreement. Okay. Right. Okay. And then this is in section two is that we're going to modify that scope to read what is in section two. So section one seems to repeat what was in the previous contract. Got it. Section two then says this is what it's being changed to. Okay. And then this expands it to include the public health nursing clinic. Got it. Okay. Yeesh. But it adds $600 bi-weekly costs, but yet the health building comes in at a hundred dollars less in section two than it was in section one. Because it drops the cleaning. down from a clinical clean. That says there's a $600 biweekly cost adding. We're adding the 600 and I don't know if Molly spoke with. So Tony is still having to clean the futures area, right? So it's not now it's an office, right? But we're also so that's not an accurate number. That's an accurate number for the rest of the building. It's not the 3606 does not include the $600. additional cost yeah i don't know but i do know that it yeah at the beginning it says how much the gross contract is which is like 231 000 and then it does it by by weekly that is accurate i don't know that okay and by the way commercial cleaning is a fabulous job in all our buildings i hear that from people all the time is like these buildings are so well maintained he takes a lot of pride he is great so kudos all right All right. I'll make sense to me. And we're actually going to see if the health department can fund their own cleaning. Absolutely. Even if it's not just for the public nursing site or for the entire building, which kind of makes sense to me. Yeah, because they have their own funding. They have their own funding. Yeah. So it shouldn't come out of County General. Yeah. We'll work on that. All right. Questions? I've confused things totally. No, you're right. You confused me a little bit. I hadn't seen this until we sat down somewhere. Yeah, no, you have not. Usually I do my homework. I know. I didn't have a chance. You did not have a chance. This is a pop quiz. I threw it at you. You know it's confusing because it gives the prior agreement. Yeah, but then it says it's attached and it's not. So, okay. All right. Never mind. Any public comment on this item? Good luck to you if you want to make comment on this item. Good luck to you. Okay. All right. All those in favor of the addendum to the amended agreement for commercial cleaning janitorial service agreement signify by saying aye. Motion carries to zero. We do not need to ratify this because it is an amendment. And then to an amendment. Yes. Another county government. All right. Anything else for the good of your order? Nope. Oh, thanks, Angie. All right. We can do a clean sweep of the session. All right. With that, we are adjourned. Thanks, everyone.
