So I'll call for this meeting of the Citizens Advisory Committee, the Wave Production District of Manoa County, the 13th of July, the 17th, 20.5, and 5.32 p.m. Vice Chair, please call. Yes, Paul White Sr. here. Dr. Lucas. John Arnold. President. William Govind. Sir. Joseph Buenia. Here. Matthew Austin. President. We have to look. Excellent. Thank you. All right, we'll see if I can share our... Our agenda was distributed by email on the 14th. Are there any objections to adopting the agenda as distributed? All right, seeing none, adopted. And our first order of business is approval of meeting minutes starting with the May 15th regular CAC meeting. with the July, I'm sorry, June agenda. Are there any corrections to the draft minutes? Seeing none, I do have a couple of small spelling corrections. They are both page three, there was a roll call vote, and then unanimously is misspelled And then just a couple lines later after the farmer's market headline, there's an application is missing though. Oh, they're rolling out. And seeing no further directions. Those minutes are approved, that's corrected. And then that brings us to our July 10th joint forward CHC meeting minutes. Those were distributed email with the agenda for this meeting. Are there any corrections for those minutes? That's that one at the top of the second page of the entrepreneurial attendance. It's got Joey Long as the operations director to be director. We changed it. Thank you. There was another I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. that they did not believe that the meeting minutes. If you have any questions about what we're seeing on those minutes are as corrected. That completes our approval meeting. It brings to reports starting the district if you are ready as I ever am. Um but we did I think we talked a that's going to be different. I know that it's going to be different how much of which direction the excise tax shouldn't be on that property tax here irregardless the revenue is going to go up or down tax I'm hoping I get to put a little bit of money. I mean, we enjoy cut out back in, but I may have to go ask them to find some more cuts. But we're not in dire straits. We're pretty good. Our budget's OK, even if we have to cut a little bit more out. OK, not ideal. We did discover this week that the QR code on the main sign of all of our recycling centers on the gate is inactive. And that was carried over from the previous Go Green District signs. How does that happen? Comes inactive? Well, it kind of depends on who set it up and how they set it up, what service they use. We don't know who developed that. But at any rate, Alisa and Kayla have a subscription and license agreement, but software called Canva that they use to do social media posts and create other that we do and that's not where it can create QR codes. So we have the QR code that links to our website, having decals made that are sized right over one that's no longer active. So if anybody is trying to scan the QR code, sign on our fence, it will. to get that fixed for us. So that we have the fair went well. The attendance at the fair, from my perspective, seemed to be down previous years. But overall, I thought that their Wednesday night was pretty heavy traffic. of the week that it seemed to be down. But we're still pleased with the attention that we got. If anybody didn't come by or see the books, they were screaming at me. I think four by six, four by four. We actually put up what we can now accept for recycling and what we don't accept categorized in this that was a good effort to put that together that positive response on that. that's something that uh together and take apart easily and take a variety of different events. It's a convenience. Um it's doing something that maybe it's just time. So instead of this game for kids, think about giving yourself things like that. I I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. All right, that brings us to the care report. I second. So, don't have any reports, not special committees. program. It's you know, focus on anything, anything new going on there. One site set up reaching out to others. It's more. They were involved in that program. Oh, it is. That show or refer to an app. It's nice to look at our new programs that the cash abortion is going to discuss, but it's nice to be a soil. Yeah, it's even with a big soda. So you prepare people, push yourself, somebody to accept compost or something. Give compost. So you do that. You have it down. it's free for residents to sign up for it's free and become a site for the I'm not sure if that's the right word. I'm not sure if that's the right word. I'm not sure if that's the right word. I'm not sure. If you don't have any special orders or unfinished business, you can be open to use them on other items in business for the 2026 House District budget comments. Actually, if I can ask for anything else about TSE, if it would be possible for Joseph to be able to share with me. Now, because I have a draft of In the current absence of that, what are general sentiments that anybody would like to include in that? Those comments were. Well, I said. A budget item. Or brands. I would like to thank you for that. I would like to thank you as well. The grant program. favorite compared to previous years. Are there any vehicle purchases this year compared to like last year? Yeah, no, we do have one. We have two new boxes for this year. That's 120,000 in the budget and there's 50,000 next year. It's the same purchase of an administration's average. I don't want to share. Are you are you looking for that vehicle? Are you looking at a fossil I'm not sure if that's the right way to do it. I'm not sure if that's the right way to do it. I'm not sure if that's the right way to do it. that you can also plug in and charge. Yeah, I mean those options are all on the table. It's just casual searching around local dealerships a new or one year old vehicle of those types? I don't. When Air 18H, CLNH, you've got those five vans that are used. I don't know if the charging stations were included when the commissioners bought those or not. But I know Ford had to upgrade the charging station because they weren't adequate. Do you have the ability to share? I don't. If you email it to me, it looks like I have the ability to share. I mean, you know, it's not like you're going to be able to actually stumble across a hydrogen vehicle. I don't know. Really? So we would get the hydrogen hydrogen. You know, you got to break the water molecule apart. That's that's simple. That's simple. So I saw a picture of an old when they burned wood on the back of the vehicle and the smoke went into the thing so that the engines could run against. That's what we want. I think I'll probably still just take the time to add a sentence after the meeting. it would be nice to at least be able to show you the existing content that I have. This is the same format that I've at least used for the previous couple of years. budget. Is there any objection to saying indicate our support of the close twenty twenty six budget anybody supposed to add line following that saying that we are the first one I intended to fill that in during the meeting because that's what I was just asking. I'll put support in there to indicate our support of the 2020-2026 budget. Here for July 10, joint board CAC meeting. Another sentence saying to the effect of that we're also excited to see the allocation for the community grant. Anything else anybody else wants to express to the board? I appreciate that but I don't know that that is appropriate from the common specific. OK, fair enough. Well, I did, because we were trying to get share screen capabilities and then follow up on mine. I may be able to. I just have to stay away from it. So how much shower you've got when it's anymore, Tom? I appreciate it. I think it's appropriate that we are in the showers building. These are supposed to be comments specific to the proposed budget. you know, you know, it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's about saying because of the fiscal responsibility of the executive directors, even though there is an SB1 that's coming through that could impact bottom lines. I think it might be all right to have some generic comment referencing I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. strong financial situation currently is a lot of confidence budget. Yeah, it's fine to make reference to the potential impact. Maybe coming. And just so that you guys are all aware of the way that that build a structure. twenty seven and twenty eight. You know, obviously none of us, you know, any other district, any other state or government entity, you know, nobody wants to do more with less. But it is kind of nice to kind of stagger the implementation of it. we're going to have to figure out a way to ease our way into this and figure out how to manage I'm just getting more work for Tom to do. I just read it. Read it if that works, if anybody wants to. That's fine. So I've said that I've given me certain facts that may result from SB1. Appreciate the effort put in navigating uncertainty and maintaining a balanced budget. Yes. Yes. Yes. And Tom is off. Oh, sorry. I don't want to do that. I'm not going to let you grow but I want the second Is everybody off the same day or are those stag throughout the county? Well, it seems good. Before we get to that, include to that, is there anything else that anybody had wanted to add to the particular set of ordinances or budget cuts to or on the budget? Okay, perfect, thank you. If I stop sharing. I'm just curious about when the outlines of the same days off or are they staggered somewhat throughout the all the all of the four satellite facilities are on the it's not going to happen. Nobody's done anything to move it after. So unless we go out on the same base, I've never seen it open for quite a long time Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at six o'clock. it's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. So I've gotten used to that. Business. Yeah, I guess I could just give a quick update. Garden Quest a interest session. You're telling Universalist Church went really well and you know 20 households and had another 20 or 30 that weren't able to. uh make it really good reception had multiple people um interested in them try it before you buy a program and some just bought buckets and they want to host be a host site uh for their community uh take pits so they can they can bring their fermented food waste directly there and uh deposit the pits start a plan uh I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. that might have similar interests. Right. So from now on, I will bring the compost sheets so they can scan QR code and potentially put their information there. And I'll also start mentioning make soil as well to start doing that. I did go to one person's house. She came to a training and she wanted to start immediately. So I've delivered her a couple of buckets and she was in the high park neighborhood. Yeah, being able to connect. People. Like minded or right? But it doesn't want to do it, but I'm happy to give my food waste to somebody. So so we're really saying that a lot of. faith committees have, either creation care or green committees or earth care committees. So that's what we're focused on, hitting those up. So we're looking for my synagogue and a few others. Whenever I talk to somebody, I'm asking them, what is your, where do you go to church? What do you do? I mean, you have an earth care or a green committee, say, hey, can I use your name to when I call the pastor up or whenever I call up to order to grease the ribs. It's really seeing some benefits of that. And on Saturday, there's a Bokashi workshop at the Bloomington Community Orchard, up to 3.30. So feel free, if you'd like to come, please come. And then we're still looking for a few more volunteers with Taste of Bloomington on August 2nd. Two and two and a half hour shifts, standing by the waste areas, and some people pushing their waste into the trash can, they push it into the bucket. So it's making people aware that this is an option, and we're really, in the past few days, actually from this community, from you, you've had multiple other developers So that's going to be a really, really good way to go about it. In front of more churches, but that's, we have our hands full right now with a lot of things. So that'll be fun. August, September, start. August 2nd, there's a I think it's something called something like World Sprint, something that maybe would be a venue to look at pushing this. Absolutely. I mean, we're doing the taste of movement, so we can't do that. But now we're actually looking for other festivals or options somewhere to debut this. And the Commission on Sustainability is ready to fund it. agreement with whatever festival or entity it's going to be. Oh, and that's the other side. Garden Quest is working on a memorandum of understanding with the Monroe County Parks and Rec. So as soon as they have that, I can send that out so you can see it. That includes, you know, like, signage, MCPR, like, on the logo on the signage. It talks about how big the pits, just sets up what the expectations on both sides are including keeping all the buckets out of that facility. It also talks about storing all the, when the fermented food waste is ready or is being fermented in the bucket, storing it out of that warehouse as well. So kind of those business, bring us to public comment, so there's nobody in the room. Like I said, if there's anybody online, we would like to comment. We have four minutes to speak. You can indicate your presenter to do so by using raise hand function or by typing the question. You can ignore room on F3 and last three seconds. I want everybody to run up to the mic at once. nobody online interested in commenting at the end of the meeting and we will adjourn if there are no objections. Thank you everybody.
