It's so good to see you. Good to see you too. Yes, absolutely. So, Kimmy. Yes. So, how was your summer of 2018 going so far? So far, my summer was great. I was busy, though. I'm doing lots of fun and new things and spending time with friends and family. So, it was a good summer. Yes. So, yes, indeed, indeed. I'm absolutely excited about it, so. How was your summer? My summer went really well, so. good so and of course I'm absolutely wonderful and of course busy too with working in McDonald's yeah and also I've been busy doing summer nights album yeah newest album yes so and every time I Oh, before I go any further, I did see you at the cookie shop. Yes, when my friends from Thailand were here visiting. That was fun. That was fun in July of 2018. It was July. Okay, I thought it was August, but you're probably right. Yep, so late, very late July and early August. Oh, okay. So, and of course, that was super fun, wasn't it? It was, and I loved seeing my friends. I hadn't seen with them for years actually, because they've been living in Thailand. Yes. Yeah. So it was very, very nice. And it was nice to see you there too. Yes, indeed. And Tim Thompson. Yep. Yep. Eating cookies. Yes. And last episode ago, Tim Thompson is our newest Let It Be Easy show announcer. So and that was really great. He's just joining the team of the announcing for the Lena Beasley Show. Well, congratulations. And yes, indeed. So Tim is really happy to join in on the Lena Beasley Show announcing team. So also, he's been on the show before as a musical guest and regular guest. Of course, he probably still is. However, I'm also gonna put him on an announcing team too. So I just gave him a spot. So welcome Tim to the board on the Lenny Beasley Show. So Tim, thank you so much for being a part of it. However, Kimmy, at this time, yes, I do wanna talk to you about every time I get to see you, I always tease about Steven Renshler. Yes, I know, and I've not met Steven Renshler. So he works at Bloomington Hardware, right? Yep. And do you still work there? I still do. OK. I thought so. That's great. Yes, I still do. And you tease me about being a wascley wabbit. Yeah. But you're the wascley wabbit. So are you. OK. So, Kevin. Yes. So I really want to have fun, and maybe we'll get to see Steven. OK. at the hardware store, so. So, and Stephen just turned 60 on March. Oh, happy birthday, Stephen. Yep, and Stephen Rentschler is really funny, so. And however, I'm absolutely wonderful, so. Kimmy. Yes. So tell me about Casa. Would you explain about that, please? I love CASA. You are actually an advocate for children who are involved in court cases and just making sure that their voice is heard and looking out for their best interest. So I would recommend that to anyone who's interested, who's watching the show. It's a great program. Yes. Yeah. Excited. Yes. So yep, I'm really excited about it. And Kenny, so graduate high school over 25 years. Yeah, that's true. We had a 25 year reunion. How was it last year? It was fun, actually. So it was really good. I got to see some friends and we got to in preparation for the reunion. We got together with my friends. So it was a good time. Yeah. They were graduating high school, right? Yeah. With you. However, that was fun, right? It was fun. Yeah. The reunion was fun. Missy Simpson is already working on our next reunion. Really? Yeah. He's really excited about it. Uh, yes. Next reunion, it'll be a 30 years. Yep. So it'll be a while, but... It'll be a while. It'll be, um, 20 years for me. Oh, that's exciting. In 2021, it'll be 20 years. Are you going to your 20 year reunion? Yes. Is it here in town? Martinsville, I think. Okay. I graduated Martinsville. That's right. You did. I sure did. That's exciting. However, this time it's, I'm really excited about it, Kimmy. So, also, in the next upcoming, when you come back on the Let it Be's show on a new episode, we're doing a dance skit. Oh, I'm looking forward to that. So, look forward to that. And also, my mom teach me how to dance when I was 18 years old. Oh, so for the next show you can teach me how to dance. I will do that. Okay, that would be great. I've done it for, I've done it before for 18 years. After your mom taught you? After my mom taught me when I was getting ready to go on my junior prom in the year 2000. Oh, that's so sweet. Yes. So when my mom was alive, so, and also my parents and my mom and my uncle are already gone, so. My dad is too. So your dad is. So yeah. So anyway, I'm really excited about it. And Kimmy, so I'm really excited about writing a country music song for you, so. Yes, it's exciting to have a song written about you. That's fun. Yeah, and Kimmy, and you're the Waskely Wabbit. I am, but you are too. We're both Waskely Wabbits. Yes. Yep. You're cute. Oh, thank you. So are you. I'm glad we're friends. That's exciting. Yep. So I always crack you up. You do. You're funny. And you're always happy. And you always bring a smile to my face. Yep. So yep. And I always crack you up about Steven Richler. It's true. It's true. Yep. So Cammie, are you still volunteering with Special Olympics, right? Yes, as a volunteer coordinator. And then I helped the IU students actually with there's a special Olympics IU and I worked there. So then I helped them when they have questions and stuff and help connect them with Denise and Peggy and yeah. So yeah, still working behind the scenes. I'm not coaching special Olympics right now, but I'm still helping and volunteering doing other things. Right. So, uh, Kim, are you going to do special Olympics next year? You think? Um, I'm, we'll see. So about my work schedule. So that makes sense. However, of course, let him easy show, uh, appointments with people. So it's very busy. I know you've got a lot on your schedule. Yep. And a performance show too. So that's exciting too. So, Kimmy, I have five dance skits I'm gonna, we'll be doing when you come back on the Leonard Beasley show. So, my favorites. And also, we'll be wearing heels on that show. Boy dance? Yes. So, anyway, I'll be wearing red jeans next time, so. In heels? In heels. So, and of course, Cami, I saw, when I first saw you, 10 years ago. We've known each other 10 years. 2008 in Special Olympics, Summer Games, 2008. That's amazing. 10 years. I didn't realize it's 10 years ago. That's a long time. I can't believe it. So I first met you, you were having Jeans Capri. Roll up Capri. You remember what I was wearing? You have a very good memory. That's amazing. Yeah. Um, no. Will you be able to dance in your high heels? I think I could. So I don't want you to. Okay. That's, yep. Uh, I know I'd done that before. So, yep. And, um, so apparently, uh, we're really have to do is it's going to be great. Uh, I will show you how to dance that my mom taught me. That's exciting. So apparently it was scheduled during the commercial break, it was scheduled next videotaping session during the commercial break. That makes sense. However, we'll be having jeans and heels. Jeans and heels sounds like a plan. All of the two of us are doing a get dance get. Okay. So I'm sure you have it at home, right? I'm sure I can find it. So, and, um, yeah. Crack you up while with a Steven Rentschler. Yes. You ask Lee rabbit. Yeah. You're the washer woman. Okay. Crack you up. You do. You make me happy. Yep. Anyway, Ms. Kamie Pritchett. So how long your mom got married before he died? They were married 40 years, I think. So he died in 2014. Yes, March of 2014. And they got married in 72? 72. Maybe 71. I forget. 71 or 72. That'd be 42, 41 years. Long time. Well, long marriage, so that's really long marriage of 40 some years. And never married. Never married. You never been married at all. Nope, that's true. Zero marriage. Yes, that is true. So me too. So, yep, you, Tim and I never been married. That's true. So, yep, I really, I know a couple people who used to work at Bloomington Harbor. I know one of them, it's Jason. Jason Ziegler, so. Have I, I don't think I've met Jason. Has he been to your, has he been to anything celebrated? No, I went to his church at 11th Street Church. Oh, okay. So, he used to go to 11th Street Church. Do you know of someone else named Jason? Jason. Is there a Jason that works here at the library? Raggy. Okay. That's the name I know, I think. Yep. The Jason Ziegler used to work at Bloomington Hardware. The baldhead guy. Okay. And you're still there and at McDonald's and here. I'm still there. Yep. You're very, very busy. Yes, absolutely indeed. So indeed, indeed, Kimmy. So I'm really excited. And I'm, so your dad is still greatly missed. Very, very missed. Yes. Very, very missing. He was young. He was very young. He was 62. I think 62. Yes. He was 62. And, um, he, uh, once his birthday, June 29th, uh, he died in March and he was 62. He would have been 63. That's right. Would have been 63, so. Still very young. Yeah, very, still very young. So, he's not even, he was not a senior citizen. No, that's true. So, he won't be again. He won't, he never will, so. No, he's in heaven now. He is. So, there will be no senior citizen. Not for him. Not for him. That's true. So, yep. So, your mom is, right? She is now. She's sixty-six. Wow. She is now, so... Maybe I shouldn't have said that on TV. Oops. She won't care. Right. That's okay. It's okay. So, apparently, she's... How is Nicole, your sister? She's great. She just recently got a new job, and she lives in Indianapolis. Wow. She's wonderful. She's one of my very favorite people. Yes, and you and your sister, that's it, right? Unless you count my mom's dog. Yep. His name's Zach. Zach. Oh yeah. He's kind of like another child, but he's a dog. Yep. However, that was great. So Nicole never been married, right? Wow. You and Nicole never been married. That's true. Wow. something, isn't it? So, yes, indeed. So, I'm glad you're doing well in training, volunteering track and field. Yeah. Is that right? Yeah, volunteering. Well, and just helping with all the volunteers. Right, all the volunteers. For all the sports. Yes, absolutely. Indeed. So, and then, of course, IU, right? And, of course, Special Olympics. However, this time, I'm so glad to see you. And before the taping, I'm glad you noticed. I hope you'll get well soon. Thank you. So I heard that you wasn't feeling well before the taping, during the commercial break, before we came back on the show. That's true. But it was important for me to be here. So it's important for you to be here tonight on The Leonard Beasley Show. So I already am having a great time. And of course, I've done taping sessions with Tim and Amber Mestre. Amber Mestre works at the library and one of my announcers of The Leonard Beasley Show. And she's been doing it for three years. Amber is. And then Tim Thompson joined the team. That's great. And we lost a couple announcers, two announcers. One of them's taking a break. So it's Jared Cheek. He's taking a break. He's covering in all the positions at the library because people left the library, no longer work there. And the other one, Jane Cronkite, no call, no show, double whammy. And then the second time is also double whammy. That means a total quadruple whammy when she's out. I'm glad you have a new team then. That's exciting. So she's Jane Cronkite is no longer as announcer. She got terminated. So now you have Amber and Tim. Amber's already still there. Amber's still there, but Amber still hanging on. She's been doing this for three years. And we just got Burrow, new announcer for 2018, and Nyorina, also announcer for 2018. And now we just had introducing Tim Thompson as an announcer. The announcer team is growing right now, yes. So to fill in, so we're also looking for at least three more. Five more would be great. So, five more would be absolutely great, Kimmy. So, and of course, I absolutely would love to have you as an announcer one day. Yeah, maybe one time. I don't think I can join the team, but. Yep, so. I'm happy to help out one time. All right, so. Well, I'll help you with, I'll do the scripts and then all you do is read it, so. So, um, that's all there is to it. So, and of course I already, uh, having a two tag team, um, which means two announcers on the Leonard Beasley show will announce in each episode. I think, uh, we're starting out, we're starting doing a tag team in each new episode of Leonard Beasley show. I think we got four 13 or I think it's 13 announcers. I'm, I'm maybe. Wrong, but either 12 or 13 announcers. That's a lot, either way. Either way, but since we have a lot of announcers growing team, however, I think it's a good idea to do a tag announcing in each new episode. So I think it's looking that way so far. So apparently the rest of the season, however, in season five, Sounds like you have a plan. I think it's gonna be a good plan so far. All of this is the finalization, so that's it. However, at this time, Kimmy, so what do you think of being on the show tonight? Well, I'm happy to be here. Yes, you are absolutely happy to be here tonight on the show. And of course, are you looking forward to coming back and doing a A dance skit? It'll be nice to have you teach me how to dance like your mom taught you. That'll be nice. That'd be absolutely wonderful. You're absolutely right, Cami. I absolutely will love to teach you how to dance. I've done this before. I've done this for 18 years now. So you have experience. Yes, I sure do. Absolutely. From my mom. However, and that means it's really awesome, isn't it? Yeah, it is. It's nice to have those memories and to have that skill. Yes. On the next Let It Be Easy show for you or your appearance, there will be a dance skit. Okay. At least we're going to do at least three songs, favorite songs. Maybe four or five. I'm going to put it in planning centers. Okay. Let It Be Easy show planning center in my laptop. So anyway, I'm delighted to have you on the Land of Easy Show. I appreciate you having me here. So, and I hope you get well soon. Thank you. I appreciate that. I will. And however, this time, you're the Washawaba. Okay, I'll be the Washawaba today. Yep, you're the Washawaba. No, I think you are. Yep. So anyways, Kimmy, I'm absolutely good. to see you and looking forward to doing the dance skit, right? Yep, next time. Next time, I would love to have you back again for a dance skit at that episode. OK. Here it is, Kimmy Pritchett, folks. Thank you, Lennon. Yes, indeed. Folks, this is Kimmy Pritchett, ladies and gentlemen. We got more Lennon BC Show to do. And when we come back under this, we're taking a break right now. Stay with us. Vicki gonna do dance get tonight on the Lennon VEC show. Hi Vicki. Hi Lennon. So good to see you. Good to see you. Are you ready to dance? You got your dancing boots on. Yeah you got your dancing shoes on. I know. Let's get this started dancing. We got eight, 17 seconds of silence. Stand by please. And then you'll cut that part out so that it matches together? Kind of. You will follow me. Glad I wore a skirt so I could swing around. Yes. Do you not get dizzy dancing this way? Of course not. Okay. Yeah, see this is a good skirt to swing around in. Is this you drumming? Yes. All of it. Is this one of your long drumming and the guitar too? Absolutely. Everything, all of it, you name it, it's all there. We're gonna get a workout today. That's right. Of course, we're doing the 50s style, right? Is that what it is? I don't know what the 50s style is. Lots of boyfriends zipping their girlfriends boots off. Lots of boyfriends holding their girlfriends hands. They are. We're going to wear me out, Lenny. Let's walk and dance and hold hands at the same time. OK. Here we go. I like that drumming. I don't remember these songs, but I like them. It's a new song probably, but it's not true. It's probably not true. Yeah. It's way too many for walking. That's right. Of course. I made a spin-off. That's what. That's good. However, it's really good. It is. Especially if you like dancing. That's right. However, I know music and dancing make a difference. Yes. Absolutely. So is the 50s style where people spin around? Absolutely. I see that on TV. You grew up in the fifties, right? I was a baby when I was in the fifties. I was born in 1952, so... You were totally born and grew up in the fifties. The only dancing that I did was... I don't know what I danced to, but I know what you mean by dancing. You refused dancing because I'm singing in the street. That's right. Lots of women is tugging their paddling inside their boots. Lots of women is sipping up their high heel boots. These boots are made for dancing. Go ahead and kick up the heels. These boots are made for dancing. Every high heel boots will be dancing the night away. That's very fit for you. Oh, that's very fit for you. I see that a lot of times. Uh-huh. Of course, every day almost. You know. Almost every day. Did you get your ideas from movies? Absolutely. I sure did. For years now. What's your favorite movie? Well, the 50s movie, of course, still has a lot of Miami's presence. That's a good one. However, leave it to Peter. Of course, in the 70s, there's Happy Days. Yep. That's right. That's right. At least I've seen that in all the movies. Of course, I don't remember now. All for the names. This song reminds me of the Nancy Snow. She did a lot of this stuff. She sure did in the 60s. She's still alive. She is. How old is she now? 78. I wonder if she's still alive. Apparently she is. I bet she was. She was always a really active person. She is. You saw her die 20 years ago. Straight to that. And her birthday is getting on the dance floor. No, not at all. Me and my girlfriend is dancing close on the dance floor. What would you call that genre? Me and my girlfriend is decided about the dance. It's not really like the big band sound. This is the first time we've danced together. That's right. We never danced at all. This is the first time ever. You're doing pretty good. Really well. You look like you dance. Yes. We got an instrumental song later tonight on the last track. I already timed them out. It's 51 minutes all together. That's it. Why don't they like to dance once again? Right. But we like to make a good sound. Let's go back to Thursday morning. However, lots of women is wearing their skinny jeans. We're going dancing. Yeah, absolutely. Lots of women is just in their high heels. Absolutely. Yeah, of course. You know, you got black brown, reddish brown. And of course, you got blue denim skirt too, right? Lots of women is sitting on their high heels. I think I still have them. When I moved, Love's a witness getting on the dance floor Love's a witness getting on the dance floor Love's a witness getting on the dance floor Love's a witness getting on the dance floor Love's a witness getting on the dance floor Oh, dancing girl. Um, sometimes. That's what Rick listens to. Is that, um, smooth? Serious exam? Yes. That's right. Actually, no. I don't know. Go ahead and kick up the heels. These boots are made for dancing. Go ahead and kick up the heels. These boots are made for dancing. Every high heeled boots will beat this night away. These boots are made for dancing. Go ahead and kick up the heels. These boots are made for dancing. Go ahead and kick up the heels. October 30th is a Tuesday, so it is the first. Yeah, it's Halloween so I understand. Oh yeah, that's right. We're gonna dress up for Halloween. Um, I don't know. I really don't know. So remind me. Okay. I don't know what I'm gonna do either. Right. Remind me so... Remind me of a Halloween. Are you ready, high heel boots? One, two, one, two, three, four. Go ahead and kick up your heels. Let's go ahead and. Woo, kick up our heels. I can't do it that close to the front. No, you can't. I have a disco beat. It's a really fast song like Dancing Sinatra is playing right now. Almost over. I'm going to have another song because we're going to have Get Up and Dance All Night. That's a disco beat. Now what beat is this? Disco 70s. This one is disco 70s? No, that's not hip. This has kind of an electric sound. Electric sound. Like Nancy Sinatra's rock song. It's a rock song, however. Who's the music place that you go to? Rewind. Rewind. Do they work with you at all on the different beats? No, I just pick them. All it is is recording. That's all there is to it. That's it. Pretty much it. Did you ever go to anybody that'll teach you guitar? Uh, Harry did. Harry did? Harry did. What about drumming? Uh, no drumming. I learned it by myself. I didn't know if you did that in high school or? I'd say no. Church. In church? Did anybody teach you that in high school, in church? Yes. Yes, indeed! Alright, we're gonna have another Uh, Lenin Beasley's song here. We'll be right back. Oh in the audio studio. Of course, when we get together next time, we'll do all slow songs. Maybe. I'll have all slow songs. There won't be no bad songs. Bad songs are good. It's just that we get really hot and sweaty. Yeah. I'd rather go ahead and do a slower song. I'm so sweaty. It's hot in the lights. Yes, absolutely. I just want to let you know, it's going to do a reminder. We're doing slow songs next time. Of course, it's going to be great. Slow songs will be... So what are you playing on this? Bass, bass guitar? Bass guitar, horns, keyboards. Did you do the horns? I did. I love your keyboards. Keyboard horns, yes. I don't do it on the mouth. Where does that slide sound come from? Where does slide? Let me listen. Let's see if I can hear. I can't. Yeah, hear the horns. It might have been, like, underneath. I think it was underneath. Yes, indeed. Yes. Another episode. I think we've got seven minutes left. I got, of course, we got a 30 second reminder. Yes, but you know what? I'm only gonna do two dances today. Two dances today, so. Do you think we should go up and take a bow? Take a bow? Mm-hmm. What's take a bow? You wanna do a bow? What's bow? Bow to the camera. So, yep, absolutely. Cause, yep. So, yep. So, we won't do. Thank you. Thank you, Lennon, for a good time dancing. Yes, no, we're gonna, I'll check with you at Blue Beach and Harbor tomorrow, about, which day is on, what's Thursday? Thursday morning, I'm sorry. And we'll take a break and be right back with you. We'll take a break, of course I'll edit it out, don't worry. So, anyway, yeah, it's now 11.07. But it's not fair to say take a break, because then, why don't you say it, because then the next time that we're on film, We'll have different clothes on. Yeah, that's right. Of course we will. Of course I will do. I know I'll be wearing boots. Boots are made for dancing. Yes, but we are going to. Here we go. Yes, indeed. Welcome back to the Lenny Beasley Show.
